Jordan’s skateboarding days are over, now the only wheels he rides are the ones on his wheelchair. It’s no wonder that he enjoys escaping to the virtual world in his computer, and when the boundaries between the real world and the virtual world overlap, no one can blame him for choosing a world where he can be whole again. When Lexi agrees to play the computer game, she’s really just trying to be polite, but her life and the lives of everyone they know will never be the same as their bond creates an intersection point between different realities.
About Vashti Daise (St. Joseph, Missouri Author)
I am a high school math and science teacher and have been blessed to live a life full of adventure! One of the best compliments I have ever received is when several of my students recently agreed that they "want to be Mrs. Daise when they grow up!" They hear of my many fun adventures living on a sailboat, swimming with whale sharks, studying sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica, and traveling to various countries, and they see that at the age of 53, I published my first books. I tell them, "See, being 'old' can still be exciting!"
I owe my adventurous spirit to my parents who were always taking us off on some fun adventure, whether it was moving to Nigeria to teach for two years, fossil hunting, camping, finding edible wild plants or creating homemade radio shows, growing up with them was full of creative pursuits, and to my husband, Lanny, who is always up for something new!
