A book of fiction filled with action/adventure. Three young men and three young women always in trouble with the law, in and out of foster homes, all ending up on the street with no place to go and no one to turn to for help. The judicial system fixed that with two options ; spend twenty years in Federal penitentiary, or six years at a desert prison with no walls and a handful of Marines and civilians overseeing this experimental program. One of the requirements to stay in the program was to take a pill a day (it wasn't a vitamin) but rather a pill to enhance their physical and mental abilities.

The action begins with Marine Drill instructors doing what they do best....breaking a person down. A soccer game in the desert between inmates and Marines from headquarters. A fishing trip at a small stream in the desert which is the beginning of a romance between two of the inmates. An intense battle between the inmates with their dramatic rescue of the Marines from drug lords. A sock hop dance and dinner in which there comes a marriage proposal. A presidential pardon and a choice to stay in the program or be released back into society. To stay or go? What will they decide? Uncertainly surrounds either decision. I hope they make the right choice.
