Florence – A Traveler's Guide to Its Gems & Giants

Florence
264 Pages
ISBN 978-0-9981926-0-4

Created for today's attention-strained traveler, this non-sequential Florence city guidebook connects the back-stories of the Renaissance giants with the historical sites throughout the city. It uses micro-content and visual richness to enable the reader to come away as the smartest person in the room, without the commitment of heavy reading.

Included is a line-up of the star-powered Renaissance celebrities: Michelangelo, Raphael, Dante, Galileo, da Vinci, Donatello, Machiavelli, and plenty more. A brief synopsis of the Renaissance serves as the backdrop to the fun tales, trivia, factoids, and hoards of images.

Think: "PEOPLE Magazine" meets the Michelangelo.

About Patty Civalleri (Los Angeles, California Author)

Patty Civalleri

Patty Civalleri is a global traveler, photographer, and graphic designer. As a founding member of the prestigious Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA, Civalleri has spent the past 17 years traipsing the corners of our ancient past with some of the most honored archaeologists and historians in the world. And throughout those years, she has written for and photographed for the Cotsen's distinguished publications, in addition to a wide variety of business clients.

An avid sailor, Patty loves spending time with the family aboard their sailboat, as they often take it out to Catalina Island off the coast of California. A classical pianist and singer, Civalleri feels that she would like to learn to play the drums (in her next life). Like most foodies, Patty enjoys scouring the world for wonderful wines to pair with kitchen creations. Her incessant need to create provides breaks in her hectic life while she works with clay, paints glass, and makes jewelry.

A mom of two grown (and amazingly high quality) kids, Patty lives happily in Southern California with her husband Roger and their dog Cairo.
