How Far is Heaven? is a sweet picture whose main character Mikey asks some very important questions about heaven. This story was created was created based on personal experiences of author, Kathleen Gorman during conversations with her children during personal family loss. About Kathleen Gorman (Fresno, California Author)
Kathleen Gorman was born and raised in Fresno, California. Upon graduating from McLane High School, she attended Fresno City College and CSUFresno graduating with a BA in Liberal Arts, and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. After several years as a classroom teacher she returned to CSUFresno and earned an MA in Reading/Language Arts and a Reading Specialist Credential. Kathleen currently facilitates and RTi program at Sierra View Elementary School in the Golden Valley School District. She tried retirement in 2010, but failed. She continues to celebrate this failure by teaching part time, mentoring new teachers, writing, and creating educational curriculum. She currently lives in Madera Ranchos, with her husband Bill, three dogs, Kiwi, Kona, and Kali, and Mystery Critter a very interesting cat who happens to be part Lynx.
