I am an award-winning writer and public speaker. I have been writing professionally since 1983 as a technical writer, publicist, journalist, and author. I wrote a guide to impromptu speaking, Mastering Table Topics, and three published novels, Amiga, Offline, and Doria. My newest novel, The Remainders, will be published by Black Rose Writing on September 2, 2021.
My achievements include a Distinguished Toastmaster award from Toastmasters International, a Distinguished Technical Communications award from the Orange County Society of Technical Communication, and an Award of Excellence from the International Online Communications Competition. I have given speeches at technical conferences including the Society for Technical Communication and WritersUA. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and graduated valedictorian from Reseda High School. I earned a Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Northridge in 1985. I’m married with two children, a granddaughter, and lots of cats.
