Lisa lives in Cornell, Michigan with her husband Doug and her son Maxwell; they have a daughter, Andréa who resides with her husband Al. Lisa is the author of "Maxwell Goes to the Zoo" a rhythmic tale of her trip to the zoo with Max.
A proud supporter of Christian Life Resources, Lisa has written two articles for their magazine Clearly Caring entitled "My Son Maxwell" and "The Things I Have Learned." Lisa's informational guide "Down syndrome: One Mother's Truth" is forthcoming and will also be published with Xulon Press. Articles on various local issues written as Associate Editor for EscanabaNow are also available for review as well.
Lisa is currently studying to receive her B.A. in English and has a passion for all genres of writing including poetry, short-fiction, and research projects. A national advocate for Down syndrome, Lisa believes strongly that every single life has value and shares in efforts made to decrease the number of abortions based solely on the diagnosis.
