Cynthia Robinson Young

Cynthia Robinson Young is a native of Newark, New Jersey, but moved to the South to attend college. After a 30 year hiatus in California, she returned with her family to settle in Chattanooga. Her writing centers around family, southern history, and a desire to tell stories through poetry. Her work has appeared in several journals including Poetry South, Sixfold, Catapula: A Journal of Southern Perspectives, and has been anthologized in Across the Generations, Vol.I and Vol.4, and in the forthcoming Waves: A Confluence of Women's Voices.

She is an adjunct professor of Special Education at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, as well as a graduate student at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.
