Aaron Parrett

Aaron Parrett was born in Butte, Montana. He holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Montana and a M.A. and PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia. He has published widely in many fields. His books include Literary Butte: A History in Novels and Film (2015) and Montana Americana Music (2016). Also known as a songwriter and musician, he has recorded several albums of original songs, including the critically acclaimed The Sinners (1996) and (with Ivan Rosenberg) Stumbo Lost Wages (2008).

He is the proprietor of The Territorial Press in Helena, Montana, devoted to fine letterpress editions of Montana literature.

He is on the faculty at the University of Providence, where he is Professor of English Literature.
