About John Delameter (Kansas City, Missouri & Kansas Author)
Born in 1943, John Delameter grew up in Princeton, MO—a small, rural, Midwest town about a two-hour drive north of Kansas City. As the 9th of 11 kids, he loved his farm life and family upbringing in small-town America, yet always knew that something was missing.
Although married for 31 years and having two children, it wasn’t until his mid-60s that he finally came out as gay to everyone who knew him, a life trajectory that was both liberating and devastating in many ways. Through that experience, as well as surviving a terminal cancer diagnosis, John believes that we all have a Power and Presence within us that knows no bounds.
His mission is to inspire hope, love, and peace that passes all understanding to others.
