Granny Mae Saves the Day
Granny Mae just can’t help getting things mixed up. Hearing problems … YES!
Naïve … YES! Kind … YES! Resulting confusion … YES! In this story, our energetic, loving grandmother finds herself and her little white dog in the midst of an adventure helping two “nice” men who are actually bank robbers.
“You must want some of the money,” said Larry.
“I don’t need a bunny,” said Granny. “I have a dog…”
This is Granny Mae! Parents, grandparents, and children alike will delight in Granny’s antics as they read this beautifully illustrated, read aloud/early reader picture book. Join her now and travel with Granny through her zany, mixed-up world of best intentions.
About Candice Mary Thomas (Grants Pass, Oregon Author)
Candice Thomas was born and raised in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, and even as a child, loved writing stories and teaching children. An instance is when, as an eight-year-old, Candice collected a nickel per child from neighbors for snacks, brought the children to another friend’s clubhouse, and read stories to the little group!
After receiving degrees in English Education from Oregon State University and Library and Media from Southern Oregon College, Candice became involved in the lives of children as a teacher, librarian, and administrator in both public and private schools as well as in her church. More importantly to Candice, however, is the fact that she is a wife, mother, and grandmother who loves being with her husband, children, and grandchildren, playing on hands and knees or simply providing a listening ear.
Candice loves reading, writing, walking, swimming, sewing, and knitting. She currently resides in Southern Oregon with her “too wonderful for words” husband, Terry.
